The 140-foot U.S. Coast Guard Bay-class icebreaking tug Katmai Bay was hauled out at Great Lakes Shipyard in Cleveland on July 13. The cutter was hauled out for drydocking, inspection, maintenance, and repairs using the shipyard’s 770-ton Marine Travelift hoist, the largest on the Great Lakes. The contract includes hull, propulsion and steering system inspections, as well as steel repairs, hull cleaning and painting.
