Shipyards can accelerate surface preparation and painting activities while extending the coating life of marine vessels. Replace hand-tools and increase production up to 12 times; profile weld seams and erection joints in ballast tanks, while lowering chlorides – with easy feathering and reduced over-blasting. Sponge-Jet, Inc. manufactures clean, dry, low dust and recyclable Sponge Media™ abrasives and blasting systems.

Products & Services

B-VAC™ Pro 4

Save time and money by automating the blasting process with the B-VAC™ Pro 4. Recover Sponge Media™ abrasive in the work area and automatically transport for recycling. Contaminants are then removed and media is conveyed to the Feed Unit™ Cyclone Storage Silo, which reloads the Feed Unit for reliable blasting.

Saber Blast™ Nozzle

Saber Blast™ NozzleNEW Number 10 Nozzle! Achieve dramatic increases in production with the new Saber Blast™ nozzle. Usable with a variety of blasting systems, the new nozzle uses rocket propulsion concepts to maximize abrasive velocity. Operators can gain as much as a 50% increase in productivity when tested with Sponge-Jet Silver 30 Sponge Media™ abrasives.

Sponge-Jet ® Xtreme (Riding) Team™

Sponge-Jet ® Xtreme (Riding) Team™The most compact, mobile tandem blasting and Recycling Team is now available for in-service abrasive blasting. The RASP Xtreme™ and the new 25-P Recycler™ work together to simplify remote spot repairs during ship deployment. 1. Blast and recycle in the same small remote space with the low dust, low rebound and highly controllable characteristics of Sponge Media™ abrasives.2. Create a super small storage and transport footprint by engaging the custom-designed Lock and Roll system, linking the two units together as one.3. Simplify spot repair sites with the new RASP Xtreme add-on (Accessory Air Supply Valve) which allows the 25-P Recycler to use it’s air source with no extra air supply lines, extra junctions or fittings.

Sponge-Jet Feed Unit™

Sponge-Jet Feed Units propel Sponge Media abrasives to the surface. A centralized panel provides adjustment of blast pressure and media feed rate allowing for precise control.

Sponge-Jet Recycler™

Portable Sponge-Jet Recycler™s – Are used to separate dust, broken down paint and other materials from reusable Sponge Media™ abrasives as part of the recycling process. Drastically reduce abrasive, abrasive handling and disposal costs compared to ordinary abrasives. Sponge-Jet Recyclers are designed to offer the maximum range of capabilities, size and flexibility of power source. Larger units have higher throughput capacity and remove a greater percentage of fine contaminants than smaller units.
