SmartFind M5 AIS Class A Transponder

The McMurdo SmartFind M5 AIS Class A Transponder, the first to include an AIS MOB and AIS SART alarm function, provides a Steer To Rescue MOB display that allows you to quickly and easily navigate to the location of the MOB. In addition to the traditional “radar style” display and AIS target list views, the SmartFind M5 also features an embedded coastline map which accurately plots the AIS equipped vessels on a chart overview display without the need to connect to an external plotter. SmartFind Plus G5 EPIRB

The McMurdo SmartFind G5 GPS EPIRB transmits on 406 and 121.5 MHz frequencies and includes a high brightness LED light which helps rescue services locate you at night or in poor visibility. Its high-performance, multi-channel GPS brings location accuracy to within 62m (about 200 feet), greatly increasing your chances of rescue in an emergency situation. SmartFind EPIRBs are available with manual brackets or with a float-free housing which automatically deploys and activates the EPIRB if the boat is sinking. Learn more at

The rugged McMurdo SmartFind R8F UHF Fire Fighter Radio has everything an emergency team needs in a radio, from enhanced grip and large tactile buttons for easy and fast operation in an emergency situation, to a powerful in-built loud speaker and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) for optimized indoor use. SmartFind S20 AIS MOB Device

The McMurdo SmartFind S20 AIS MOB, designed to be fitted to a lifejacket using supplied clips, will transmit position information and a serialised identity number from its high-precision GPS back to your vessel’s onboard plotter, enabling you to be quickly located and recovered. It transmits continuously for a minimum of 24 hours and has a 7-year battery storage life. The flashing LED indicator light also makes you easier to spot at night. Learn more at 

S/VDR NW-6000

The NW-6000 VDR Series flexible design is easily adaptive to new build installations as part of IBS, or in retrofit applications, offering enhanced features. The unique system architecture interconnects numerous ship components by a single Ethernet cable that also provides power and data, thus eliminating extensive and costly cabling requirements. This attribute typically reduces cabling costs by 50%! The NW-6000 VDR System provides the smallest footprint, the most economical installation costs, unrivalled operational value due to added functionality, and is compliant with MSC 333(90). OmniCom Solar

OmniCom Solar is a highly portable, tamperproof, solar powered, communications, tracking and distress beacon. Working in conjunction with McMurdo’s Prisma C2 platform, OmniCom Solar provides a comprehensive Safety, Monitoring and Tracking solution for vessels, including artisanal fisheries. Containing either Iridium satellite or RPMA radio technologies, Omnicom Solar offers fleet management, location reports, distress alerts, and two-way messaging to a wide range of previously isolated and low technology vessels.

SmartFind G8 AIS EPIRB

The McMurdo SmartFind G8 AIS is the world’s first EPIRB to include 406MHz, 121.5MHz, AIS and GNSS (better known as GPS) to accelerate search and rescue. The unique power of these new award winning beacons is in the flexibility and additional tracking capabilities long demanded by maritime customers. This will further reduce rescue times by combining the global location power of 406MHz with the localized rescue capacities of AIS, first introduced to the world in McMurdo’s AIS MOB range. FastFind 220 Personal Locator Beacon (PLB)

The McMurdo FastFind 220 is a lifesaving distress beacon, small and light enough for you to carry on your person at all times. Using advanced technology, the FastFind 220 transmits a unique ID and your current GPS co-ordinates via the Cospas-Sarsat global search and rescue satellite network, alerting the rescue services within minutes. The PLB used by the US Coast Guard to safeguard their personnel!
