Electro-Guard: The First Choice for Marine Corrosion Solutions! Specializing in cathodic protection for over thirty years, the Electro-Guard product line offers a variety of protection options. Come by our booth to see how Electro-Guard will work full-time protecting your fleet so you don’t have to! Electro-Guard has provided corrosion prevention services including corrosion protection level monitoring systems, and automatic electronically controlled impressed current and sacrificial anode cathodic protection systems for thousands of boats for over thirty years. Designed to provide a hassle free and low maintenance method for corrosion prevention, all of our systems provide an easy to read color display which supplies visual indication of cathodic protection performance and warning of electrical faults that can lead to damage from stray current. Additionally, Electro-Guard propeller shaft slip ring assemblies provide effective cathodic protection current to the vessel’s shafts and propellers, and insulated sacrificial anode mounting studs and thru-hull bolts electrically isolate sacrificial anodes where necessary. Electro-Guard impressed current cathodic protection systems are more cost-efficient, non-polluting (do not put heavy metal ions into the water) and maintain a consistent level of protection over the life of a vessel’s operation. Electro-Guard’s product line can maintain full corrosion protection for vessels of any hull material while operating in all natural waters.

130 Series Data Logging Monitor Systems

Our latest system for monitoring and preventing corrosion! The 130 Series Cathodic Protection Monitoring Station allows for advanced corrosion monitoring featuring four channel data logging and remote access downloading capabilities. These monitors are equipped with an easy to read digital hull potential display and color coded LED protection level indicators.

Consulting and Engineering Services

As experts in marine corrosion causes and prevention for over thirty years, we provide complete corrosion consulting, failure analysis, and metallurgical analysis where necessary, to help you identify the causes of active corrosion. We also provide engineering services and design complete cathodic protection plans to prevent future corrosion failures.

700 Series Impressed Current Cathodic Protection Systems

The 700 Series ICCP Corrosion Control System stops corrosion automatically! The systems include a monitoring station that provides a continuous, easy to read, visual display of system performance and a control unit that automatically maintains a predetermined protection level for the boat’s underwater metals. Features include: permanent anodes (no sacrificial anodes), a stable and rugged reference cell, individual monitoring of propeller and propeller shaft protection levels, and built in system diagnostics. Suitable for vessels of any hull material and construction 50ft LOA to 300+ft LOA.

Propeller Shaft Slip Ring Contactors

Electro-Guard Slip Rings provide superior low-resistance electrical contact to your propellers and shafts. The slip rings are made of sterling silver and the contactor brushes are composed of 85% silver alloy. The brushes are spring loaded to maintain the proper contact pressure at all times. Features include: custom fit to your propeller shaft diameter, adjustable for height and angle alignment to shaft, dependable protection – proven through laboratory testing and hundreds of installations.

ZI Series Insulating Washer and Stud Sets

The ZI Series Mounting Studs, Insulating Washer Sets, and Insulating Stud Sets are used to provide electrically isolated sacrificial anode mountings on the underwater hull of a vessel.  These insulating studs and washers are essential for providing cathodic protection current to electrically isolated structures such as copper-nickel keel coolers. Cathodic protection is then provided to these structures electrically independent from the hull.

Model 125 Monitoring Stations

The Model 125 Cathodic Protection Monitoring Station allows for potential corrosion problems to be spotted at a glance. The monitor features an easy to read and interpret analog color display, a rugged and stable reference cell for reliable readings, options for individual monitoring of propeller and propeller shaft protection levels, as well as accurate readings in all natural waters – seawater, brackish, and fresh. The Model 125 Series includes monitoring systems for vessels of all hull materials and construction.

Model 902-TI Corrosion Test Instrument Kit

The Model 902TI Kit includes all the tools needed to conduct hull potential and corrosion testing: an Amprobe 5XPA digital multimeter with test leads, the RP-2 Zinc reference probe with 20ft of test lead wire, the PP-1 Pointed Test Probe with a hardened steel point and 20ft of test lead wire, the RPEX-25ft test lead extension, a convenient protective carrying case, and instructions for proper corrosion testing technique and a guide on how to interpret your findings.

Model 126 Monitoring Stations

The Model 126 Cathodic Protection Monitoring Station allows for potential corrosion problems to be spotted at a glance. The monitor features individual monitoring of up to three hull regions on larger vessels, catamarans, and trimarans, as well as our standard features of an easy to read and interpret analog color display, and rugged and stable reference cells for reliable readings. Hull potential readings are accurate in all natural waters - seawater, brackish, and fresh. The Model 126 Series includes monitoring systems for vessels of all hull materials and construction.

Model 620 Impressed Current Cathodic Protection System

Perfect for aluminum stern drives, large outboard motors, and small boats. The Model 620 ICCP System provides totally automatic protection to stop corrosion! Features include a 1.5" square, easy to read, LED color display of system performance, permanent anodes (no sacrificial anodes), and an automatic controller that requires no adjusting. The Model 620 ICCP System is suitable for vessels of any hull material and construction 20ft LOA to 35ft LOA.
