WindSonic M Ultrasonic Wind Sensor

The Gill Instruments WindSonic M is a robust ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensor with aluminium alloy construction and optional heating system. The sensor is solid-state with no moving parts, using ultrasonic measurement technology to detect wind speed and direction at speeds up to 60 m/s (134 mph).The robust aluminium alloy housing is hard-anodised to ensure suitability in harsh marine environments, and the optional heating system allows operation down to -40º C.

The Intrinsically Safe WindObserver is a lightweight, robust unit, completely sealed and constructed in stainless steel.

OMC-160 Wind Speed & Direction Sensor

The popular and often used wind sensor OMC-160 is a combined wind speed and direction sensor, based on the cup and vane principle. Having chosen for the highest quality stainless steel materials and internal non-contact measuring devices, this sensor stands for a long life time, having the highest accuracies within both the low range as well as the high range wind speeds.This sensor is commonly used within the shipping and offshore industry but can also be found on many airfields, container terminals and harbors, along highways and on bridges.

Helideck Monitoring System

Observator instruments offers the widest range of different helideck monitoring systems. The helideck monitoring system are designed to measure all weather conditions during helicopter landing and take-off operations in order to improve both flight and passenger safety. The helideck monitoring system can interface with all different weather sensors like wind speed, wind direction, QFE/QNH Barometric, Temperature, Humidity, Visibility Motion and Cloud Height. There are many options available for a.o. fixed and floating platforms F(P)SO and diving support vessels.

OMC-138 Wind Display

The OMC-138 is the standard wind display for land applications and fixed offshore objects. The display can be provided with industrial standard outputs eighter as standard or as option (4..20 mA) The unit was initially designed for use in combination with the OMC-160 wind sensor but nowadays the display can read several other sensors as well. The OMC-138 is suitable for flush mount and is housed in a standard 144x144 housing.

OMC-116 Full metal Ultrasonic wind sensor

Marine meteorological observations require devices designed to withstand the hardest environmental conditions such like heavy vibrations, sea spray, extreme colds, chemical particles etc. With a major track record the Marine and offshore market is the home market for the Observator meteorological product line.The OMC-116 is provided with industrial standard NMEA0183 output and can optionally be provided with 4.20 mA signals. The robust design in sea worthy alu and stainless steel as well the standard available heating makes this unit ideal for the hardest environments. The standard bracket with integrated junction box makes this unit easy to install.
