Vigor begins construction oN second 144-car ferry

On March 8, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee officially kicked off the construction of the Samish, the state’s second new 144-car ferry, by welding the initials of his grandson into the keel of the Samish at Vigor Industrial’s Seattle shipyard.
