Video: All American chosen to build Seattle ferries

At the Pacific Marine Expo in Seattle yesterday, All American Marine announced that it had been selected to build a pair of 250-passenger ferries for King County, Wash.

WorkBoat Technical Editor Bruce Buls discussed the project with Joe Hudspeth, vice president of business development for Bellingham, Wash.-based All American.

Each Teknicraft-designed ferry will be 105’x33′ with a cruising speed of 28 knots. The first ferry will be delivered in 2015. The boats will operate on the Seattle-West Seattle and Seattle-Vashon Island routes. The contract should be finalized in December.
