Tis the season

‘Tis the season of ‘’tis the season.’

‘Tis the season of holidays that pop the clutch at Halloween, accelerate into overdrive at Thanksgiving, race for the finish at Christmas and wave the checkered flag on New Year’s Day.

‘Tis the season of going whole hog with both a turkey and a ham.

‘Tis the season of seasonings.

‘Tis the season of being thankful for my first sailboat, a Ranger 20. ‘Tis not, however, the season to learn to sail it.

‘Tis the season of a merry workboat show featuring artisans and craftsmen from all the world’s maritime trades, gathered in New Orleans doing business and drinking big-ass beers.

‘Tis the season to light it up, and I’m not just talking LEDs.
