Show Boats From the 2009 International WorkBoat Show

Scully’s Aluminum Boats
Based in Morgan City, La., Scully’s has been building aluminum boats for 30 years and exhibiting them at the WorkBoat Show for almost as long. This year’s show featured a 28′ × 8’6″ surveyor boat with twin Yamaha 150-hp outboards. An inverter-style generator provides 6,300 watts of power for equipment and air conditioning/heating.

Textron Marine & Land
The 11.8-meter RIB displayed at the show was built by Textron from a concept developed by NAIAD Inflatables. The aluminum hull is wrapped with a solid foam collar. With twin 540-hp Cummins diesels and HJ322 waterjets from Hamilton, the RIB’s top speed is about 45 knots.

SeaArk Marine
In addition to celebrating its 50th anniversary, SeaArk displayed a 27-foot Commander Ram with twin 300-hp Mercury Verado outboards. Top speed is 47 knots. The display boat featured the “black-out” package where all shiny parts have been painted or powder-coated black.
