Leak detector

Tracer Products has introduced the Tracerline Optimax365— a cordless, rechargeable, enhanced UV leak detection flashlight that features ultra-high-flux LED technology. When used with the appropriate fluorescent dye, this powerful UV lamp will locate leaks in all fluid systems on vessels. The exact location of every leak is revealed by a bright yellow-green glow. The Optimax 365 is lightweight and compact, weighing just 11.8 ounces. Its inspection range is 20′ or more. The flashlight has a corrosion-resistant, anodized aluminum lamp body. The Optimax 365 comes with UV-absorbing spectacles, a belt holster and smart AC and DC battery chargers. Hydraulic cylinder

Trompler Fluid Power, Hartland, Wis., has introduced a new 1,000- ton capacity, double-acting hollow-hole hydraulic cylinder. The cylinder joins the other hollow-hole cylinders in the Trompler line of off-the-shelf hydraulics. These cylinders have a maximum pressure at 10,000 psi, and their piston design enables powered push/pull forces. Made in the U.S., the hollow hole cylinders have a number of quality features including industrial hard chrome pistons, high strength heat-treated steel and heavy-duty bearings. The cylinders have a lifetime warranty covering workmanship and material defects. Call Trompler at 262-367-5600. www.tromplerfluidpower.com

Fuel monitoring

Nautical Control Solutions LP (NCS), Houston, has released the latest version of its FuelTrax Marine Fuel Management system. The new version measures and monitors fuel density as it is pumped on a vessel. FuelTrax gathers and displays the mass, volume, temperature, and density of a fuel as it is being taken aboard. The fluid’s density is measured, recorded, and presented live in a moving graph on the FuelTrax main console. If a predefined amount of “out of density range fuel” is measured, a visual alarm is presented to the captain or chief engineer. The system works with any type of marine fuel and can also be applied to liquids such as drilling mud. Contact Nautical Control Solutions at 281-209-3480. www.fueltrax.com
