NEWS BITTS – TECO Transport is now United Maritime Group

TECO Energy sold its marine arm to Miami-based Greenstreet Equity Partners late last year, followed by an announcement of the name change, further distancing the marine operations company from its former parent company. Those marine operations include 20 inland towboats, 650 inland barges, three bulk carriers, nine integrated tug-barge units, and a dry bulk handling facility on the Mississippi River south of New Orleans. Each marine division under United Maritime Partners has gone through a name change: TECO Ocean Shipping is now U.S. United Ocean Services , TECO Global Logistics is U.S. United Bulk Logistics , TECO Bulk Terminal becomes U.S. United Bulk Terminal , TECO Barge Line is now U.S. United Barge Line , and TECO Marine Services has been renamed U.S. United Inland Services .
