Chouest icebreaker at work in the Antarctic

The time-lapse video was taken on the Nathaniel B. Palmer, a 308’x60′ icebreaking research vessel, while it was working in the Antarctic. The vessel was built by Edison Chouest Offshore in 1992 and is operated by Raytheon Polar Services and Edison Chouest under a long-term charter for the National Science Foundation, Office of Polar Programs
