Cable industry leaders partner up to showcase marine expertise at maritime trade show

NEW ORLEANS—At the International WorkBoat Show, Niedex Inc., a global cable tray manufacturer, and HELUKABEL, an international manufacturer of cable, wire and cable accessories showcased marine equipment.

Niedax Inc. showcased its latest cable tray systems designed for the marine industry. The Niedax Marine Ladder is made with hot-dipped galvanized steel or 316 stainless steel, and comes in a wide selection of widths from 100 mm (3.937 in.) to 1000 mm. (3.280 ft). Another option is ventilated trays, which are available in 316 stainless steel and are offered in various heights and widths. These trays enable easy cable installation and labor savings over existing cable routing procedures. Additionally, Niedax’s cable tray systems are Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) classified and Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive (RoHS) compliant, with many containing Russian (GOST-R) and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) approvals as well.

HELUKABEL offers shipwiring and marine cables with approvals from ABS, Germanischer Lloyd (GL), Lloyds Register of Shipping, Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE), USSR Register of Shipping, Det Norske Veritas (DNV), the Bureau Veritas, UL and CSA. The range of cables available covers power and data transmission, with some cables approved for use in cable tracks. Many of these cables are halogen free (LSZH) and come unshielded or shielded, for seamless transmission during operations that involve electromagnetic interference (EMI). Furthermore, HELUKABEL’s shipwire and cables can operate in temperatures between -40°C and +85°C (product variable) and come in sizes ranging from 24 AWG to 600 kcmil (product variable).
