CHICAGO - Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP announces
the arrival of Timothy S. McGovern to the firm.
Mr. McGovern, who previously served as managing attorney at
Snyder McGovern, LLC, is of counsel at Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP. He also
serves as chair of the firm’s Admiralty, Maritime and Transportation practice
group.
Mr. McGovern formerly served as captain of the M/V Spirit of
Chicago on Navy Pier. He is a Proctor Member of the Maritime Law Association of
the United States, President of the Propeller Club for the Port of Chicago, and
an adjunct professor of admiralty law at The John Marshall Law School in
Chicago.
Mr. McGovern received his J.D. in 2001 from The John
Marshall Law School and his B.A. in 1997 from the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign.
