SeaArk Marine Inc. announces the retirement of Casmer “Cas” Kirby, vice president of engineering,
Kirby began his career with Monticello, Ark.-based SeaArk
Marine in 1991 and was promoted to vice president of engineering in 2006.
During that time, the company says, he led SeaArk Marine’s engineering team
through some of the most successful periods of SeaArk Marine’s history.
Well known for incorporating extreme durability into every
design detail, Kirby brought a wealth of oil field crew boat type construction
techniques with him when he joined the company from South Louisiana over 20
years ago.
“Cas’ expertise will be missed,” said John
McClendon, SeaArk Marine’s president and CEO in a company press release, “but
he leaves behind an extremely experienced, talented and dedicated team that
will carry on the tradition of quality design that is second to none.”
Ronald “Ronnie” McGehee, SeaArk Marine’s current engineering
department manager, will succeed Kirby. McGehee is himself a 20-year-plus veteran
of the organization and has managed the engineering department as well as
complex projects under Kirby’s guidance.
