Miramar, Fla. – ZF Marine has tapped Susan
Mortgu to be the marine propulsion systems company’s new account manager for
the Northeast United States and Atlantic Canada. She will report to David
Santos, ZF’s Commercial Craft Segment Manager.
A graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
in Kings Point, N.Y., and additional studies at University of Delaware’s School
of Marine Science and Policy, Mortgu comes to ZF Marine LLC with a wealth of industry
experience. She is a certified project manager, with over 10 years experience
in shipyard project management including new construction, repair and refit for
both pleasure and commercial vessels.
No stranger to the water, Mortgu has over 30
years of practical experience on the water in pleasure and commercial craft,
including service in the merchant marine as a deck officer.
“Susan’s
wealth of experience will be a true asset to the ZF Marine organization,”
Santos says. “Her depth of knowledge, specifically that of the maritime
industry in the Northeast, will be appreciated by our customer base in the
region.”
Mortgu will be based out of her home office in
Rhode Island.
