TELL CITY, Ind. - Corn Island Shipyard, founded on the banks of the Ohio River here in 1991, just posted video of their most recent launch from subsidiary Tell City Boat Works, a few miles down the river and founded in 2009, dropping the new towboat Megan McB into the water. The company has traditionally built barges, dry docks, and casino platforms, but reports they currently have the capacity to build vessels up to 400 feet in length by 108 feet wide. Further, "with allowance for future expansion of our launch ways, we will be able to launch vessels of up to 600 feet in length."
