Wesmar stabilizers, bow thrusters and sonar populate fall boat shows around the world

Wesmar (Western Marine Electronics) is displaying its line of roll fin stabilizers, all stainless steel bow and stern thrusters, and navigation and sport fishing sonars for yachts at four major boat shows in September and October.

Shows in Monte Carlo, Monaco; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Istanbul, Turkey; and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., will host booths with Wesmar equipment. Technical personnel from Wesmar’s U.S. headquarters will be on site to support their dealers at the shows.

Wesmar’s roll fin stabilizers use advanced digital signal processing and a proprietary gyro to predict vessel behavior, the company says. The systems memorize roll characteristics of a boat to pre-empt rolling and Wesmar says they are the only stabilizers on the market with the ability to stabilize in all three axes; roll, pitch, and yaw.

Wesmar says its systems reduce up to 90 percent of vessel roll and are extremely rugged. Three systems, including an at-anchor model, plus an upgrade package for existing stabilizer users, are available. Wesmar’s all stainless steel dual prop counter rotating bow thruster line, for close maneuvering and docking, and Wesmar’s line of yacht sonar for navigation and security, will also be on display.
