Volvo Penta receives ninth consecutive customer satisfaction award

Volvo Penta has received its ninth consecutive National Marine Manufacturers Association CSI Award for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction for the 2012 program year.
In the Sterndrive Engines category, Volvo Penta was recognized as having achieved and maintained an independently-measured standard of excellence of 90 percent or higher in customer satisfaction based on information provided by consumers purchasing a new boat or engine during the period from April 2011 through March 2012. Participating manufacturers must survey all new boat buyers during this period. For this reporting period, more than 32,000 consumer responses were collected.
The NMMA will recognize award recipients, including Volvo Penta of the Americas at the annual International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) Industry Breakfast in Louisville, Ky., Tuesday, Oct. 2. The CSI awards highlight commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, as well as support of industry efforts to improve the consumer boating experience.
“The Volvo Penta 2012 program year line-up featured the most innovative, technologically advanced gasoline sterndrive offering in the industry,” said Ron Huibers, president of Volvo Penta of the Americas, in a company press release. “Volvo Penta believes that all boaters, from entry level to high end, deserve the best that technology can offer. New consumers need the positive boating experiences delivered by high technology, higher horsepower engines to keep the boating industry expanding.
“Volvo Penta has proudly served the marine industry and our customers for over 100 years,” Huibers added. “We are proud to receive this award as recognition of that commitment.”
