Sweden-based interceptor trim tab systems manufacturer
Humphree has named Kent Lundgren as president
of its newly opened Humphree USA, LLC office in Virginia Beach, Va.
The company
says increasing demand for Humphree interceptor trim systems as well as
encouraging signs of a marine industry recovery in the United States and Canada,
led it to open the U.S. office to better serve the North American market.
“During the recent
economic downturn Humphree has continued to invest heavily in product
development and we are now poised to launch a number of new, advanced, products
for trim, stabilization and motion control,” says Per Landegren, Humphree’s
managing director, in a company press release. “Establishing a permanent U.S.
presence has been an integrated part of our product development strategy.”
Humphree has
appointed Kent Lundgren as the new company’s president. Lundgren is a 30-year marine
industry veteran with solid experience and long involvement with both pleasure
crafts and commercial vessels, Humphree says.
“We are very
pleased to have Kent join us. He is one of the most experienced and
knowledgeable people in the marine industry. With Kent on our team we have the
opportunity to expand our presence in North America and develop closer
relationships with our customer base,” Landegren says.
Humphree
says its North American customer base already includes customers like Gladding
Hearn Shipbuilding, CDI Marine, SAFE Boats International, Kvichak Marine, AF
Theriault & Son, Sabre Yachts, Burger Boat Co., Spencer Yachts, Nordhavn
and Coastal Craft.
