St. Louis-based scrap metal recycler and
broker Alter Trading has announced the appointment
of Andrew Cole as vice president Human Resources and Organizational Development
for Goldstein Group Inc. and subsidiaries effective Feb. 6. Goldstein Group’s
subsidiaries include Alter Trading Corp. and Alter Co.
Cole comes to Alter from A123 Systems where
he was the executive vice president Human Resources and Organizational
Development. Prior to joining A123 Systems, he was employed by Schneider
Electric, APC Division as their senior vice president Human Resources, and
American Power Conversion where Cole served as global vice president Human
Resources and Organizational Development.
Early in his career Cole held human resource
positions in Ireland with responsibilities for Europe, the Middle East, and
Africa. He received his master’s of science in management degree and bachelor
of arts degree from the Regis University in Denver.
In his new role, Cole will have overall
responsibility for the Goldstein Group and its portfolio of businesses with a
particular emphasis on strategic elements of Human Resources. As the company’s
senior Human Resources officer, Cole will advise on all aspects of Human
Resource planning and strategy, the company says.
