Palfinger Marine is further extending its presence in the
North American market, partnering with Tim Tilleman and Ed Ramberg, the owners
of HP Dutch Harbor, to service Dutch Harbor-Unalaska, Alaska, the remote but
strategically very important port of call for the huge North Pacific fishing
fleet. In the future Palfinger Marine and HP Dutch Harbor will respond to this
target group locally and in the best way possible by supplying them with Palfinger
marine cranes.
As a specialist for fast and competent service, with its
main service center on Unalaska, HP Dutch Harbor is the ideal partner for Palfinger
Marine, the company says. What’s more, Palfinger Marine says, the company has
many years of experience in the hydraulic marine products sector,
“In HP Dutch Harbor we’ve found an agent that will boost our
progress in the North American market,” says Karl Oberreiter, head of Palfinger
Marine, in a company press release. “We are very pleased indeed that HP Dutch
Harbor will be supporting us in the future and we would like to welcome all its
employees very warmly to our network.”
“We are very pleased that in the future we will be part of Palfinger
Marine because our customers will benefit greatly from this working
relationship,” added Tilleman, president of HP Dutch Harbor. “In the future, Palfinger’s
extensive product range and our knowledge of local customer needs will ensure
optimum customer service in Alaska.”
Seattle, an equally important support point for the North
Pacific fishing fleet, will continue to be looked after directly by Palfinger
Marine’s U.S. regional sales manager John Adams. In cooperation with HP Dutch
Harbor, the company says, this will ensure a nationwide supply of Palfinger
Marine products for the fishing fleet.
Palfinger Marine will also be present locally as an
exhibitor at the Pacific Marine Expo in Seattle Nov. 27-29, booth no. 114. It
will also be at other important American marine industry trade shows, including
the International WorkBoat Show, Dec. 5 to 7 in New Orleans at booth no. 2117.
